She was preceded in death by her father Robert B. Gayle, Sr. and brother, Ronnie Gayle.
Charlene graduated from Tyner High School, J. Rogers School of Hair Design and was a retired CNA.
Survivors include her four children, Jennifer Chandler, Ronnie (Jessica) Arnold, Michelle Harrison, Billy Harrison, mother, Billie U. Gayle, brother, Robert B. (Libby) Gayle, Jr., all of Chattanooga, TN, and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, September 26, 2014, in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Morty Lloyd officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
