Charles Edward Petty

He was born January 30, 1952 in Ringgold to the late Charles Wallace and Dorothy Mae Petty.

His brother, Alvin Petty preceded him in death.

He was a longtime member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and attended New Liberty Baptist Church. He is an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Brainerd.

He was retired from the Ringgold Telephone Company after 20 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Gail Petty; sons, Andrew (Jennifer) Petty of Louisville, KY and Carson (Crystal) Burnette of Ringgold, GA; daughter, Sabrina (Brent) Raby of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Tara & Olivia Petty, Brent Lee, Braylee, & Brody Raby, and Shanndon, Michael, & Ethan Burnette; siblings, Linda Moore of Harrison, TN, Lynn West of Ooltewah, TN, Brenda Doty of Ringgold, Marie Neeley of Chattanooga, TN, Evelyn (Donald) Rogers of Hixson, TN, Mary (Ronald) Sanders of Florida, Lois (Eli) Pell of Lookout Valley, TN, Lewis Petty of Ooltewah, TN, and Melvin (Denise) Petty of Ooltewah, TN; sister-in-law, Marla Petty of Ooltewah; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Michael Turner and Rev. Sam Cravatt officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
