Daniel “Dan” Scott Dilts – 49, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at a local hospital.
Dan was an employee of Federal Express.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and member of the school board. He also was a member of the Ambassadors Class at Grace Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Dilts.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Ray Dilts, of Chattanooga, son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Elizabeth Dilts, daughter, Kaylan Dilts, grandson, Gideon Daniel Dilts, all of Chattanooga, mother, Sue Diviney Dilts, three brothers, Ed, Jim and Doug Dilts, all of Nashville, father and mother-in-law, James and Mary Ray, of Chattanooga, brother-in-law, Jim Ray, of Nashville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Euler officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
