Ella Mae Green, of Chattanooga, Tennessee departed this life on Friday, October 6, 2023 at a local hospital. She was 85 years old and born in Scottsboro, Alabama to Willie Mae Davenport and Jerry Baker on April 24, 1938. Ella was employed at American National Bank for 25 years. She was a member of New Mt. Carmel.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Davenport; father, Jerry Baker; Claxton Green Sr.; Jeffery Green; Claxton Green Jr.; and Danny Green.
Survivors include children, Debra Keith of Chattanooga, TN, Ella Barron of Chattanooga, TN, David Green of Knoxville, TN, Don Green of Knoxville, TN, and William Green of Washville, TN; sister, Amelia Mosley of Pontiac, MI; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A lie in state for Ella will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Tyner Cemetery, 6620 Bonny Oaks Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
