Mr. Eugene Wayne Morgan Sr.

Mr. Morgan was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Sunday School Class. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He was retired from Chattanooga Glass Company and had worked for Collegedale Case work for 14 years.

His sister, Charlotte Cronnon and brothers, Leon Morgan and David Morgan preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda Morgan; son, Eugene “Gene” W. Morgan, Jr. and his wife Elbra of Ooltewah; daughters, Tammy Herrell of Dalton and Renee Williamson and her husband Mike of Ringgold; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Richard Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Don Wade, Wayne Sims, Donnie Burns, Cecil Lawson, Harold Donaldson, and Robert Fritschmann serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Beyond Measure of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.
