Glen A. Arbogast, born on June 11, 1949, in Canton, Pennsylvania, passed away with his family by his side on January 30, 2026, at the age of 76. Known for his sense of humor, his kind heart, and his generous spirit, Glen was a cherished member of his family and the communities he lived in.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1969, from which he retired in 1989 after serving in Vietnam and being decorated with multiple meritorious achievement medals and other honors. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Glen and his family moved to the Columbus, Ohio area where he worked for The Ohio State University as a Business Manager and Accountant for sixteen years, then for the Columbus Housing Partnership for nine years. After retiring, he and his wife and son moved to Ringgold, Georgia to be closer to his daughter and son-in-law, and eventually his two grandsons.
Glen was a joyful, generous, selfless, and loving man who was beloved by all who knew him. He was outgoing and kind, and nobody who met him ever remained a stranger for long. He loved to be with his family, he was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and he was an active volunteer with community organizations, having enjoyed being a member of the Westerville Rotary Club in Ohio and being a backstage theatre volunteer with the Chattanooga State Theatre Department.
He is survived by his spouse, Pamela Arbogast; his son, Douglas Arbogast; his daughter, Jennifer Wilson; his son-in-law, Jonathan Wilson; his two grandsons, Asher and Everett Wilson; several nieces and nephews; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Dean and Amy Elizabeth Arbogast; and his siblings, H. Robert Arbogast, Richard D. Arbogast, and Sharon L. Bragg.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glen Arbogast Memorial Scholarship fund, which will be used to further the education of a theatre major at Chattanooga State.
