He is preceded in death by his father, Hester Carter Sr.; mother, Lorena Hess; child, Patrick Carter; brothers, Tommy Carter, Carlos Carter, and Carl Carter; and sisters, Becky Carter and Betty Jane Carter.
Survivors include children, Stacey Jones, Tracey L. Carter, and Teddy Carter; brother, Steeve Carter; several nieces and nephews; and friends, Gary Morgan, Randy, and many others.
