Janet H. Richardson

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Joe Brown Hulsey and Nettie Isabell Truelove Hulsey of Gainesville, GA, her sister Carrie Virginia Henson of Gainesville, GA and brother Bobby Joe Hulsey of Monticello, Indiana.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Richardson; son John David Richardson and daughter-in-law Diane Richardson and grandchildren, Anna Grace and Johnny Pierce Richardson; daughter Kara Richardson Urban, son-in-law Steven Urban and grandson Oliver Glaser; sister Fay Lindsey and brother-in-law Charles Lindsey; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Janet was a graduate of Clermont High School, Clermont, GA and Crawford Long Nursing School in Atlanta, GA. She worked as a Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO and at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was a member of the Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN for many years and more recently at Ringgold First Baptist Church of Ringgold, GA. Janet loved to travel and had many opportunities to visit and reside in other countries while accompanying her husband in his professional career, including living in Chang Won, South Korea, and visiting China, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, England, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary,, and many other locations. She was involved in many volunteer activities, including her work for Hutcheson Medical Center. She was a devoted wife and mother, a creative and enthusiastic homemaker, enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the East Brainerd Chapel with the Rev. Jim Baliff and Dr. Dalen Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. Friday until the time of service. The body will be taken to the W.R. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, 260 Main Street, Clermont, GA 30527, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. -12 p.m Saturday. A graveside service will be held at 12:15 p.m. in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Clermont, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions may be made to the Ringgold First Baptist Church, 7611 Nashville Street, Ringgold, GA 30736
