Jermichael Dewon Young

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dandra Akridge; and father, Shelton Young.

Jermichael is survived by his loving wife, Tangie Young; sons, Jermichael Young, Jr, Jawon Young, Jermichael “JJ” Young, Anthony “Tony” Young, Jerl Young, Shelton Young and Dandric Young; daughters, Jamecca Young, Dandra “Mya” Young, Dominique Brown, Jermichia Tumlin and Jermetrius Tumlin; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Everett Akridge and Anthony Akridge (Ulrica Duncan); and the Duncan and Akridge Family.

Jermichael’s favorite quote was, “We all we got”.

“Jermichael and I have been together 25 years and married 6 of those years. He was the life of the party. He was sweet, loving, caring and very funny. He loved to sing songs that he just sat and made up

Jermichael loved his kids and didn’t play about them. He also loved to fish and sit around and talk.

You couldn’t tell him nothing about his grandkids; they did no wrong in his eyes. Jermichael was very much a family man. You are truly going to be missed.” – Love forever and always, your wife.

A Visitation for Jermichael will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home Chapel.

Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2116 Shepherd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
