John worked as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He was a member of American Legions Post 95.
John is preceded in death by his wife Virginia “Teenie” Evans and stepson Jerry Gaddis.
John is survived by his daughters Linda Williams of Chattanooga, TN and Diane Hardy of East Ridge, TN; stepson Steve Gaddis of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, July 19, from 1-3 PM with a Memorial Service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 3 pm.
