

John was born October 21,1944 in Alliance Ohio. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He proudly served in the United States Navy as an airman/UDT. After leaving the military he joined NOAA for several years before he pursued a new career in transportation. He was a long-haul trucker for over 40 years. He traveled coast to coast making new friends wherever he went. He also became an ordained deacon and served at Saint Michael’s church in Chattanooga.
John was preceded in death by his parents, stepmom, and sister. John H Mohr, Gloria Schmitt, Ruth Mohr, and Elizabeth Schmitt.
He is survived by his children Misti Love, son in law Kevin Love, Tessi Mohr, Melissa O’neal, son in law Dale O’neal, and Amber Mohr. He has 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Linda Hager, Judy Collins, Bobby Mohr, wife Bonny Mohr, Greg Mohr, wife Nancy Mohr, Mike Mohr, Vada Browning and husband Edward Browning and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Graveside service will be held Monday, September 5,2022 at 10:30 am at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1500 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
