Joyce Gilbert Long, age 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga where she where she had careers as a teacher for East Lake Elementary School and a custodian at Erlanger Hospital.
She is preceded in death by Willie Long Sr. and Tracy Long Sr.
Survivors include sons, Willie Long Jr., Kevin Long, and Marcus Long and daughter, Kimberly Long.
A lie in state for Joyce will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Minister Todd Lansden officiating, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. A committal service will occur Friday, March 22, 2024 at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4016 Tennessee Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37410.
