

She was an avid softball player and loved to work with crafts. As a parent, she enjoyed volunteering at Cloud Springs Elementary School, her daughter’s school. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Her grandparents, Betty & Herman Minnis and Pericilla & Hurbert Phillips preceded her in death.
Krissy always put other’s well-being before her own. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be missed by those she loved.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Jason Brian Layne; daughter, Taylor Rene Layne; son, Jacob Brian Layne all of Rossville; parents, Louetta & Ron Howard of Ringgold; sister, Melissa Howard and niece Kayla Woody of Ringgold; father and mother-in-law, Archie & Patricia Layne of Ringgold; sister-in-law, Kristy Layne of Rossville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at New Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Broom and Rev. Robert K. Schrader officiating. Entombment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Benefit Fund of Krissy Layne at any of the Tennessee Valley Credit Union locations.
