Laura Ann McClung

Laura A. McClung, beloved mother, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Born on December 2, 1949, she lived a life rooted in love, resilience and faith.

Originally from San Antonio, TX Laura lived mostly in Chattanooga and San Francisco, CA, where she raised her family and formed lasting friendships. For the past nine years, she has resided in Ringgold, Georgia, where she enjoyed a quieter pace of life surrounded by loved ones.

A devoted member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Fort Oglethorpe, Laura's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her kind heart, sharp wit and gentle strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Dionicio and Josephine Gallegos; granddaughter, Zooey Mason; and many extended family that she cherished.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter, Valerie Mason( Andrew); son, Nicholas McClung (Alison); and her five grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Sylvia Sarver, Valerie MacNabb and Thelma Day; her brother, Dennis Gallegos; and many extended family members who will miss her deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with arrangements to be announced by the family in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Laura's memory to Our Lady of Charity in Chattanooga.

Laura's life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
