Paul served 21 years in the Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was an arson investigator and fire fighter .Paul was a department manager at the Gunbarrel Walmart 2001 to 2012. Paul was a man whom wore many hats over his lifetime. He graduated from Clinton High School and has a degree in Associate Fire Science and Business.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Johnson and Ethel Gentsch.
He is survived by his loving and loyal wife, Roxanne, son’s Steve (Sharon) and Scott (Anne) Johnson. Daughter’s Lisa (Jim) Brown, Lynn (Mark) Stevens, step Daughters, Tina and Dawn Doud. Paul also leaves behind his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Lois (Kevin) Janda and several nieces and nephews.
Paul’s family would like to thank the staff and nurses of C.O.H.A. and Hospice of Chattanooga for taking care of Paul during his illness, and thank you to all who have prayed and supported Paul and his family. “HE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Stephens Catholic Church, Friday at 12:00 pm, with Father Gilbert Diaz officiating. Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
