Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Pearl Harbor from 1941 – 1945. He was owner of Hills Flowers in Chattanooga, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Griswold McBee; a brother, Wayne McBee; father, Lawrence McBee and his wife, Martha Statom McBee.
Survivors include his daughter, Beth McBee of LaGrande, OR; three sisters, Nama Henderson of Winchester, TN, Virginia Hill of Dechard, TN and Vernon Brown of Dechard, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, April 22, 2013 at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home 8214 East Brainerd Road. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday, April 21 at the funeral home.
Bill McBee has chosen cremation so that he could make a donation to Dechard First Baptist Church Senior Singles Ministry with funds previously set aside for his funeral expenses. Bill further asks that others join in his contribution by donating to the program in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to Decherd First Baptist Senior Singles Ministry 703 W.
