
Adrianne C. Frye, 61 died Saturday June 1, 2013 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer with her husband and her close friend Debbie by her side. She was born January 23, 1952 in Springfield, VT the daughter of Adrian “Barney” and Francess “Bunny” Carpenter. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Castleton State College. She served in law enforcement for over 20 years and as a security officer at the Grafton Tavern. She also had worked as a crossing guard at the Chester Andover Elementary School where she also worked and volunteered in the kitchen. She was a gifted equestrian and had many horses. Later in life she became interested in cats, joining the TARPS animal shelter as a board member, volunteering at the shelter, bringing lots of kittens into her home until they could be adopted. She was known locally as the “Cat Lady”.
Survivors include her father, her husband Richard S. Frye, her son John T. Goode, III, her brother Terrone Carpenter and many relatives. She was predeceased by her mother on July 3, 2011.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday June 11,2013 at 10:00 AM at the Adams Funeral Home, 35 Depot St. Chester. With the Rev. Thomas Charlton officiating.
