

Alma Edith Perry, 89 passed away Saturday May 31, 2014 at her home in Chester.
Alma was born in Lake George, NY February 25, 1925 the daughter of Charles Smith Wood and Hilda (Millington) Wood. She had attended schools in Lake George, NY. In 1946 She was married Leland H. Perry In Danby Four Corners, VT. They moved to Springfield in 1946 and to Chester in 1950 to raise their family.
Alma had been active in the Special Olympics with her daughter Judith. She also worked as Bus Driver in Cavendish and did local house cleaning. Alma was an active member of the Advent Christian Church, North Springfield.
She is survived by her two sons, Neal Perry and his wife Linda of Cavendish, Bruce Perry of Ludlow; two daughters, Joyce Perry-Norton and her husband Jed of Orange Park, FL and Phyllis Parmenter and her husband David of Hickory, NC. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents Alma was predeceased by her husband Leland, her daughter Judith Perry, 3 brothers, Richard, Phillip and William Wood and her sister Helen Breason.
A memorial service is planned for September 6, 2014 at the Advent Christian Church, North Springfield, VT with burial to follow in the North Street Cemetery,
