Barbara S. Porter, 70, of Auburn Township, a homemaker, passed away Oct. 18, 2010, her residence. Born Jan. 7, 1940, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., she had lived in Auburn Township for the past 21 years. Barbara graduated from Purdue University, with a B.A. in speech therapy. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her husband, Tom. Survivors are her husband Tom; brother, C.E. (Patricia) Stanbery Jr. of Torrance, Calif.; sister, Ellen I. (David) Byrne of Hammond, Ind..; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road Chester Township. Services and burial will be held a later date in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
