Carl E. Mastrangelo

Born Feb. 27, 1923, in Gates Mills, he had been a Chester Township resident since 1948.

Carl was a train enthusiast, an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing.

He was part owner of Chagrin Valley Nursery in Gates Mills, retiring in 1988.

Survivors are his son, Frank (Sandi); grandchildren, Carl (Lani), Darren and Shannon Mastrangelo; great-grandchildren, Rachael and Jack Ault, and Darrell and Cole Mastrangelo; step-grandchildren, Marlinda, Ken and Mardee; step-great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Kenny and Megan; sister, Lucy; and many nieces and nephews.

Carl was precededed in death by his wife, Betty J. (nee Mogan); son, Darrell; grandson, Frank L. Mastrangelo Jr.; and brothers, Victor, Louis and Flavian.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
