Carmen Mario Campanella

Carmen Campanella, age 89, passed away on December 16, 2022. He was born in Sicily and attended Collinwood High School, where he played football. Carmen was a Navy veteran, proudly serving his country as a corpsman. He was a fifty year resident of Solon and a proud member of Collinwood Memories. Carmen was a firefighter for University Heights for 24 years and also owned his own business, Pro Fire Equipment. Carmen enjoyed watching football, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

Carmen is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Lora; his children Ron (Gwenn), Carla, and John (Shari); grandchildren Brandon (Mallory), Amanda (Anthony), Daniel (Mackenzie), David, and Maria; and great-grandchildren Ann and Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents Clemente and Angelina Campanella. Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023 from 1-3pm, where Funeral Service will be held at 3pm. Inurnment at Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio at a later date.
