Cecil Woodburn Jr (Butch) of Mentor, OH passed unexpectedly on October 22nd, 2025 at the age of 67 while vacationing in Daytona Beach, FL. Butch grew up in Mentor alongside his father, Cecil Woodburn Sr, mother Alice (Barclay), and sister Cheryl Rusnak. He will get to meet his brother, Thomas, in heaven.
Butch worked for Mentor City Schools for 30 years before he retired. In retirement, he enjoyed taking cross country motorcycle rides, spending time with his grandkids, and visiting Disney with his loving wife, Debbie. He was recently elected Treasurer of his local HOG chapter.
Butch is survived by his wife Debbie; his daughters with his first wife, Diane, Holly (Chris) Luman, Stacey (Dan) Spangler, and Briana Woodburn; step-son John (Liz) Trolli; and grandchildren Aubrilyn, Maeve, Alysson, Edward, Ian, Leonard, Anmarie, Dominic, Gabriella, and Jay.
The funeral services will be taking place on March 5th, 2026 at 11am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.
