Diane Frances Fonticella

Born in Cleveland on Aug. 4, 1929, she was a 40 year Chester Township resident.

Diane was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Geauga Senior Center, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of Mayfield Church, often working during the church's community dinners. Diane took an active role in the Chesterland Historical Society's Flea Market and also worked alongside her daughter Rita at the Geauga Co. Library Book Fair. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting and cross stitching.

She was a Secretary with the Nickel-Plate Railroad in Collinwood until the birth of her second child when she became a stay at home mom. She later worked part-time at P.O.V. in Chardon

Diane is survived by her son, Ross (Jacqueline); daughter, Rita Fonticella; grandchildren Carl Anthony and Jay Miguel Fonticella; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ronald C.; daughter, Rhonda C.; and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Mayfield Church, 7747 Mayfield Rd., Chester Twp., OH 44026. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm. Pastor Scott Wilson will officiate. Interment in Chester Township Cemetery is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane's name may be made to Mayfield Church (address above) or to the Geauga Dept. on Aging Escort Program, 12555 Ravenwood Dr., Chardon, OH 44024.
