The best Christmas gift I ever received! He was only 36 years old! Beloved by his mom, Delores (nee Ferris), his brother, Dylan (Abbey), and stepdad Albert Parker. Also included are his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was a shooting star, burning fast and bright. It was hard not to notice Dusty. We miss him sooo much. Dusty loved his family, God and his friends. He enjoyed being at home and playing with his dogs. He enjoyed walks in the park, fishing, sports of all kinds; especially auto racing, the Tribe, Ohio State and the Browns. He loved to swim and saved a life or two while he was doing it! Dusty was passionate about music! All genres. He even taught himself how to build electric guitars. Most of all he absolutely loved working on or riding his Harley! Dusty graduated from West Geauga High School where he was known to many. He had also earned his Eagle Scout. Then he went on to Cleveland State University to obtain his BA in Business Administration with a major in economics. Dusty graduated Cum Laude. Then he continued on in his search for higher education and earned his MBA while working full time. He continually learned new things daily and shared them with all of us. Visit the website that was set up for him @ DustinJamesLong.com. We would love to hear your stories about your times spent with him and any photos that you may have for our memory book. Thank you so much. “Celebration of Life” service for Dusty is scheduled for Saturday, 6/5 at 2pm. It will be held at Mayfield Church located on the corner of Mayfield Rd and Caves Rd in Chesterland. Only light colored clothing is permitted on this day, nothing dark please (unless it’s a Harley shirt or leathers.) After the service a light meal will be provided at the pavilion. Everyone is welcome to attend. (Please note that alcohol is not permitted on church property.)
