Elizabeth Boone, age 95, of Chester Twp., passed away January 30, 2015. She was born June 17, 1919 in Binghamton, NY. Elizabeth was an avid conservationist, and was a board member for 14 years and also headed the board of the conservation group in her town. She was a former president of the PTA and her garden club. Elizabeth had a passion for conservation, gardening, animals, and the environment. She was also once a secretary of Evangeline Booth, former General of The Salvation Army, and was active with the USO during WWII. Elizabeth was a nursery school teacher for many years, and she continued to receive letters from her former pupils until the time of her death. She is survived by her son Jefferson (Marianne Moore) Boone; daughter Deborah (Stewart) Tepper; grandchildren Clinton (Kati) Tepper, Samuel Tepper, Anderson Boone, Harrison Boone, Madison Boone, and Emerson Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Boone. Services will be in Pond Ridge, NY.
