John worked in the Railroad Yard in Collinwood for 10 years, before working in Traveling Maintenance for the Illuminating Co. for 40 years. He retired in 2020, leaving behind a long record of dependable service and commitment.
A true handyman, John took pride in fixing things and remodeling at his home, as well as helping other family and friends. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking, and maintaining his cars.
John is survived by his wife Mary (nee Michalski); sons Brian and Adam (Anna); grandchildren Sadie Cogar and Ashton Cogar; sister Victoria (John) D’Orazio; and brother Jeff (Zrinka).
