

John was born May 4, 1920 in Cleveland, and was the youngest of six children of Joseph and Kathyrn (Toth) Spisak.
John was married to the late Eleanor (Koren), whom he married in Aug 1945 prior to his discharge from the Navy.
John was a retired Machinist, longtime resident of Novelty, Ohio where he farmed, and raised his three sons. John was a member of the St. Anselm Church (Chesterland) and St. Catherine Church (Lancaster, SC) parishes. John enjoyed hunting and fishing at the pond he built on his Ohio farm and various lakes around Lancaster.
He is survived by two of his sons, John Spisak of Los Alamitos, CA and Michael Spisak of Novelty, OH, and one grandchild, Daniel Spisak of Oakland, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Kathyrn (Toth) Spisak, his siblings, (Joseph Spisak; Mary Varaj; Irma Weizer; Elisabeth Phan and Steve Spisak) and his wife Eleanor (Koren), and his son Richard Spisak.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd. Chester Twp. Interment next to his beloved Eleanor at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.
