

Lori Ann (Fimiani) Schaefer, 57, of Chardon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 12, 1968, in Lyndhurst, Ohio, to Dominic and Violet Fimiani.
Lori was the beloved wife of John Schaefer and the devoted mother of Melanie and Lindsey Schaefer, who were the greatest joys of her life. She is also lovingly survived by her mother, Violet Fimiani; her brothers, John, Michael, Dominic, and Anthony Fimiani; as well as many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Fimiani.
Lori was a proud graduate of Charles F. Brush High School and continued her education at Cleveland State University. She dedicated more than thirty years to her calling as a preschool teacher. Lori had a special gift for nurturing young hearts and minds. Her gentle guidance, patience, and encouragement shaped the lives of countless children and families. Teaching was not simply her profession—it was her passion.
Known for her kindness, strength, and a warm smile that could light up any room, Lori had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her family meant everything to her, and she embraced motherhood with unwavering devotion and pride. She gave of herself generously and touched more lives than she ever realized.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on February 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio 44026. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Entombment will take place at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
