Paul Rudolph Baumann, age 79, passed peacefully on May 10, 2020 in Claridon Township. Born November 27, 1940 in Cleveland, he had been a resident of both Florida and Ohio. Paul was a retired Euclid Police Detective and after retirement became a Charter Boat Captain. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps., and was once a Commodore of the American Legion Post and the Pine Island Boat Club in Florida. He enjoyed competitive marksmanship, wood carving, hunting, fishing, and loved writing fishing reports for a local Florida newspaper. Paul and his wife Dorothy enjoyed traveling to countries including Costa Rica and Belize, and their favorite trip was the one they took cross country on their Goldwing motorcycle, which included entering into Mexico. He was a proud life NRA member and an active church parishioner. Paul will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; sons Paul L. (Damaris) and Jeff (Lisa); grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas Baumann; sister Elizabeth Tozzi; brother-in-law Tony Blazic; and sister-in-law Juanita Baumann. Paul is preceded in death by his siblings Elaine, James, Lou, and Gloria; and parents Paul and Elizabeth Baumann.
