

Paul T. Pershing, age 81, passed away May 10, 2016 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. Paul was born February 2, 1935, and was a resident of Eastlake for over 20 years. Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Uncle Paul was a favorite among his many nieces and nephews, and even their dogs, whom he would occasionally tell stories to. Paul will be remembered for his gentle ways, his delightful sense of humor, and his friendliness to all. Paul was the owner/operator of Pride Automotive in Wickliffe. He is survived by his companion, Mary Ann Copley; sister, Edith Littlefield; nieces and nephews, Laura Littlefield, Patricia Smith, Jane Volpe, Paul Littlefield, David Littlefield, Andrew Koval, Mary Fran Alabise, and Stephen Koval. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (nee Thompson). Visitation for family and friends will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in the Mentor Cemetery.
