Naples was truly his happy place surrounded by a wonderful, kind and helpful group of friends. He held “court” in his driveway waving at everyone who passed by in their cars as well as welcoming the neighborhood walkers who would stop and chat.
Paul had a strong interest in genealogy. Over the years he belonged to various genealogy groups both in northeast Ohio and southwest Florida. As his family and friends know, Paul enjoyed going out for meals. You didn’t have to ask him twice if he wanted to go out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Italian cuisine was a favorite.
Paul was born February 13, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Adelbert Studly and Dorothy Agnes Conrad Studly (both deceased).
Paul was a 1958 graduate of Brush High School and a 1964 graduate of Ohio University. He also earned his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall Law School in 1967. Paul spent 40 years as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 2007. He was proud that both his children also graduated from Ohio University.
Paul is survived by his daughter Karen Ann Studly and son David Neal Studly (Gwen Lynn Virag). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 57 years, Janice Albright Studly, whom he met on a blind date at Ohio University. His brother William Conrad Studly (Diane) also preceded him in death.
