Dearest Ava and Bob(jr) This is Jim Stroud. I was saddened to hear about "Woody" passing and deeply regret I did not know about it or make it to his memorial service. I worked for him at Chesterland Gulf from 1969-1972. His guidance to a young 14-18 year old is still felt today as I contemplate my own retirement in the years ahead. That job and his guidance was the best education I have ever received and I am eternally grateful for the chance he gave a young 14 year old boy!

It is with the deepest sympathy that the Chesterland Historical Foundation offers it's condolences to Bob's extended family. There are so many good memories that remain about Bob's life. Please know that we share in your loss because Bob was a very special person that we will never forget.

Our deepest sympathies are with you. Bob was a great friend to our Dad, Les Cain. Jim, Pat and I had the emense pleasure to work all those summers at the bus garage with Bob. He was a great mentor to us all and we will always remember those times with BIG smiles on our face. God Bless and Peace be with you.
