Rosanne M. Carter

Rosanne grew up as the beloved daughter of Edith and Mike Girbino (deceased) in Wickliffe Ohio. She is survived by her brother Carl (Lois) Girbino; nephew Michael Girbino; niece Lauren Girbino; grand-niece Liza; grand-nephew Che; her brother-in-law Rick (Julia Schaff) Carter, and her husband’s uncle, Bill McGee.

Growing up, Ro, as she was known to friends and family, enjoyed baking recipes with her mother that were passed down from previous generations, as well as being a caring, life-long friend to many. She found her creative outlet and career in the beauty industry, becoming a successful hair stylist in Northeast Ohio.

Rosanne married William "Bill" Carter in 1990. She continued her career while supporting Bill as he grew his roofing business, R & C Supply. She enjoyed being “the roofer’s wife” (as she called herself), caring for her two cats, gardening, and was a loving aunt to Lauren and Michael. Bill and Ro moved to Vero Beach, Florida, where sun, seagulls, ocean views, and car shows enlivened their retirement days.

Thank you to Rosanne’s large friends circle that has visited her, prayed for her, and given so much support to Carl, for which we are so thankful. We are also very grateful for the care provided by Chardon Healthcare, and The Hospice of the Western Reserve. Winter is approaching, but in the spring, think of Ro as her favorite blooms of crocus and tulips, emerge from the snow.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026.
