Salvatore Oriani

Salvatore Oriani, of Chesterland, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2026. Born August 06, 1931, in Isernia, Italy. He leaves behind five children, Irene (Marcello) Giancola, Annette (Antonio) Giancola, Vince (Teresa) Oriani, Elena (Luigi) Fatica, and Carmelina (Mario) Muttillo. Loving grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He joined his loving wife of sixty-five years, Elvira Oriani, siblings, Ida Oriani, Alberico (Millie) Oriani, Anthony (Barbara) Oriani, and Alberto (Lisa, surviving) Oriani who preceded him in death. He is survived by his siblings Angelo (Carmelina) Oriani, Lucia (Luigi) Berardinelli, Mario Oriani, Guy (Elisa) Oriani, and Christina (Dominic)Tomaro. Salvatore’s passing is a great loss. Salvatore loved nothing more than spending time in the garden, playing bocce with his friends and family at the Holy Redeemer Bocce League, and playing cards. He was always happiest when his family was together. He will be deeply missed and remembered by family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 15712 Kipling Ave. Cleveland, OH, 44110, with Father Anthony Simone officiating. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH 44026.
