

Walter Richard Bieber, 83, a resident of Chesterland for over 50 years, passed away at his home on October 29, 2014. Walter was born in Germany on July 27, 1931, the youngest of six brothers. He came to the United States in 1957 with his wife Trudy, and their infant son, Klaus. Walter and Trudy had three more children, Heidi, Helga and Lori. He was a trained cabinet maker. In 1962, Walter started his own home construction business and built many custom homes in the area. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, swimming, biking, cross country skiing, ice skating, and playing hockey. He also enjoyed volunteering time with the Lions Club and flipping pancakes at the Kiwanis Club pancake breakfasts. Walter cherished all the time he spent with his family, especially the weekly Sunday dinners. He adored his grandchildren and attended all of their sporting and musical events; he was their biggest fan! He is survived by his wife, Trudy, of 59 years, son, Klaus (Peggy) Bieber; daughters, Heidi (Al) Cisan, Helga (Jim) Wright, and Lori (Dan) Walker; grandchildren, Brian Baldacci, Gabriel (Stephanie) Wright, Andrew Cisan, Rachel (Greg) Reichart, and Jordan, Brittney, Cameron, Travis (Corie), and Austin Wright, and Nicholas Bieber; great grandchildren, Caleb and Emilie Wright; and beloved dog, Lilly.
