William Edward Rogal, age 82, passed away on November 19, 2025, of a broken heart, three months after losing his wife of over 58 years, Stella. Bill was born on July 3, 1943, in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, to Antionette “Tessie” Rogal (Povalaitis) and Joseph Rogal. Bill was a man of few words who, instead, spoke volumes through his character and actions. He was a gentle soul, patient, kind, and a devoted servant to family and God. He lived his life with love, particularly of his wife, children and grandchildren, and faith, including his longtime membership of the Catholic church.
As a youth, Bill was a talented, and driven athlete. That athleticism and drive carried over to adulthood, whether playing sports with his kids, or in his 37+ years at Lincoln Electric, where he seldom missed a day as he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
Bill is predeceased by his wife, his parents, and his sisters, Irene Paterini and Jean Risko.
Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor, selflessness and his many “Bill-isms” – sayings that often drew on his early years in western PA and the cast of characters he knew, each with a unique nickname. Those who will miss him most – his four children, twins, Joseph (Vanessa) Rogal and Jill (Gregg) Thompson, Daniel (Nicole) Rogal, and Natalie (Jason) Haupt, his five grandchildren, Leo, Cameron, Angelina, William and Campbell, and his sister, Christine Simmons – find solace in the knowledge that he is reunited with the love of his life, his partner, and his best friend, who surely awaited him with a honey-do list for their Heavenly-home.
Private family services will be held, followed by interment at All Souls Cemetery.
