Born August 17, 1945 in Cleveland, he was a Chester Township resident since 1979. Larry served as a Cleveland Police Officer for 36 years, retiring in 2006. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Cleveland Police Memorial Society, and was very active as a Cleveland Police Explorer Advisor. Larry was an avid Tournament Fisherman, often competing in Canada. Larry and his wife Donna were Disney Vacation Club Members at Old Key West Resort, and he assisted in planning the Sisters of the Island Getaway there for 19 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Donna “Dahmia” (nee Thompson); sisters Gerry (John) Peck and Cheryl Iannicca; nephews John (Carrie) Peck and Dan (Brianna) Peck; niece Kristen Iannicca; nephews Richard and Michael Iannicca; and nieces Nina and Noel, and their mother Noreen Jones. Larry is preceded in death his parents William and Eleanor (nee Steigerwald) Komidar; mother-in-law Maude Thompson; and brother-in-law Brad Thompson.
