Antonia F Rubio

She was born in Cárdenas, Cuba on June 9, 1946.

She was married to Sandalio Rubio on July 12, 1975. She worked hard as an assembly line worker for over 35-years, but regardless of the long hours, she always brought home a smile to greet her children and husband.

Antonia was a parishioner at St. Ita for 40 years, which was like a second home for her. She also served as an usher and as a devoted volunteer at St. Ita for over 20 years. She touched the lives of all who knew her with unwavering kindness that will always be remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Evarista and Cristobal Gomez. She is survived by her brother (Jesus Gomez); her husband (Sandalio Rubio); her children (Sam Rubio and Melissa Rubio); and her pride and joy, her grandchildren (Luciana Gonzalez, Ella Gonzalez and Lucas Rubio).

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Antonio that will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Ita Catholic Church. Directly following the visitation, a funeral mass will occur at 10:00 AM at Saint Ita. A graveside service will immediately follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
