Bernice D. Smith, age 95, of Oak Lawn, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 just shy of her 96th birthday. Bernice was born March 16, 1926. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Smith; Loving mother of Diane Gallo (nee Smith) and exceptional mother-in-law of Ron Gallo; World's greatest grandma (Granny) of Eric Gallo (Jenna Gallo), and Kristin (Andrew Hein) Gallo; Adored great-grandma (GG) of Emily Gallo; Dear sister of the late Estelle Petkus and Albert Petkus; Special grandma to Marc Gallo; Cousin, Aunt to many; Dear friend and neighbor of Gene and Maryann Zenz. The family would like to acknowledge all the care given by Pat, Dawn, and Debbie.
A visitation for Bernice will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60655. A chapel funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:00am, 10727 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60655. Interment to immediately follow at St. Casmir Catholic Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655.
