Carmen C. Cato

Carmen C. Cato, age 81, was born in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico on December 27, 1940, and passed on October 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was the loving wife of the late Salim Cato; most loving mother of Laura (Daniel) Del Real, Salim Jr. (Lisa) Cato, Jose (Rosie) Cato, and adopted daughter Margarita Valencia; adoring grandmother of Alex, Danny, Gabi, Jessica, Beto, Salim, Ricky, Italia, Jasmine, Sebastian, Iliana, and Bianca; most adoring great-grandmother of Caleb, Liannah, Zoey, and Michael; dear daughter of the late Jose & Carmen Cortez; beloved sister of Miguel Angel (Bertha) Cortez, Francisco (late Blanca) Cortez, the late Jose (late Celina) Cortez, and the late Luis Cortez; unforgettable aunt; caring cousin; and fond friend of many.

Visitation for Carmen will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Final Viewing Prayers will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St Priscilla's Church, 6949 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60634. Committal & Interment Service will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave.,, Niles, IL 60714.
