Known to those closest to him as ‘Chuck’ or ‘Chaz’, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Charles is survived by his beloved wife, MaryAnn; his cherished daughters, Petrina and Olivia; and his adored granddaughter, Fia. He also leaves behind a host of dear friends, too many to name.
A true Chicagoan at heart, Charles found joy in the city's rich culture, sports, and food. A lifelong White Sox fan, he remained steadfast in his loyalty. He had a deep appreciation for detective novels and never missed an opportunity to share his passion for sports.
Charles will be remembered for his warmth, his booming voice, dry wit and the countless moments of laughter and wisdom he shared. He truly cared for anyone around him, stranger or friend. A true humanist, he was known as the guy who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service will be held in his honor at St. Benedict Parish in 3/22 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice in his memory.
May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who loved him..
