I retired after 30 years at my company and not one of my friends there had a get together to wish me well moving out of state!
Chris and I had just reconnected since after high school after losing track of each other not too long before my move. What does she do? She gets a going away dinner surprise for me at a restaurant and she and Bob see me off on my way. People I worked with “friends” did nothing nor said goodbye.
God bless you Chris and Bob! You are true friends! I love you.❤️

We are so sorry for  your loss. We will always remember the fun times we had with Chris at many of  the special occasions we were able to spend with her. She was always so easy to talk to. She will be missed greatly by all of us. 

The Hamby Family 

Chris always had a ready smile - no matter what was going on in her life. Her love for her family was evident in all that she did and I admired her caring devotion to her Mom and Bob, especially during the tough years  dealing with their health issues.
So glad I had the privilege to know her.


The first time we met, you were walking with a very young Carrie down the street.  It was 1978 (Yikes!) and we had just bought and moved into the house next door to yours.  We introduced ourselves, and it started a 43 year friendship.  We went through block party planning, Girl Scout projects, and just “neighbor” stuff. Your recommendation got me a job at Osco,  and you introduced me to your friends in that world.  When you and Bob and your family moved away, we drifted apart some, but Bill and I still counted you and Bob as friends.  I always felt that you would be there if there was a need, and hope you and Bob felt the same about us.  You made an impact in our lives and we’ll  miss you.

Another fond memory I have is listening to Chris play the piano.  She was so talented and even though I had come over she still had to practice which I never minded
Since I have zero musical ability.
It was really beautiful to listen to.
Watching her fingers was captivating


Funny memory from younger years is going on vacation and her moms last words “don’t lose your retainer”
Well it happened some where in the lake . It was just about dark and we all were looking but no luck. Got up early next morning before any dipped in water and scoured the lake bottom for quite abit Chris was  pretty frantic but suddenly we found it. All were greatly relieved 

My best friend Chris, I love you and miss you soooo much. Still find it difficult to believe we lost you so young! Such a beautiful, giving and caring person. I will see you again I promise!
Bob, my heart goes out to you. I know how much you loved each other. I am so sorry this has happened esp. after all you two have been through. I love you.
Carrie and Mary, your mom loved you both so much. She was so proud of the young women you became. My heart goes out to you as well.
The world has lost a fabulous friend, someone who would help you at the drop of a hat. A very special lady! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️


Auntie Chris and I spent many nights together laughing, listening to country music, and creating this incredible T-Shirt quilt together. I love and miss her so much! Sending love and positive thoughts to Uncle Bob, Mary, Carrie, and Tyler.
