Dorothy E Hohmeier

She was survived by her sister Loretta Matheis. Graduated from Alvenia High School.

She worked at the Matheis drugstore during her teenage years, then went on to work for Chicago Northwestern Railroad.

Dorothy was a wife to the late Clement and a homemaker as well as a foster mother to six children.

Her hobbies were oil painting as well as teaching it, sculpting, and carving. She liked listening to country music and religious ministries.

She is best remembered by family and friends for her laughter, kindness, and joy of life.

Lovingly remembered by her 4 children, Cathleen (Robert) Bellini, Timothy (Donna), Mark (Kathleen) and Janet (late David) Schwabe.

A visitation will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, located at 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, on December 30, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 12:00 pm.

The committal service will take place at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, located at Belmont and River Grove, IL 60171, on December 30, 2025 following the service.
