Edmund "Ed" Lawrence Reimer Jr.

Ed was born on August 4th, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edmund Reimer, Sr and Ruth Reimer (Fett).

Ed served in the armed forces in Vietnam from 1969-1972.

He married the love of his life Loretta on May 26th, 1973.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Loretta Reimer of 51 years, their children Edmund (Heather) Reimer III, and Jamie (Michael) McFadden. And their four grandkids Justyn Reimer, Kayla Reimer, Benjamin McFadden, and Logan Reimer. Sister Karen (Robert) Orlich and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Reimer.

Ed had a love of hunting, camping, golfing and fishing. He loved having his annual 4th of July party, cheering for the Cubbies and giving his kids a hard time about being a Sox fan. Ed worked at Jewel as a Butcher for 40 years. As many of you know, while Ed had this rough, loud exterior, he was actually a big softy inside.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Ed on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 11 am - 3 pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, 60625. A short funeral service will occur at 2:30 pm, followed by military honors.
