I never had the pleasure to meet Florian but he was an incredibly loving grandfather to one of my close friends, Andrew. I send my deepest condolences to him and the entire family in this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

Please accept my deepest condolences to your entire family. I have known George and Donna for over 30 years and his parents for that long. Your father was surrounded by such a devoted family and I'm sure he will be very missed. Big hug to your Mom (Sophie), this will be hardest on her.

Dziadz was a kindhearted and stoic man. I grew up respecting and admiring Dziadz and envisioned him as a combination of Bob Vila, Clint Eastwood, and Paul Bunyan, and we all know how he loved to cut down a tree.

Babcia and Dziadz endured more hardship and harsher living conditions than most of us would experience in three lifetimes. As grandkids we were extremely lucky to have as many great years, fun summers, and enjoyable Christmases together as we did.

From building elaborate treehouses in The Bahamas, to tractor hitch rides and Christmas tree hunting in Woodstock, Dziadz helped make some great memories.  Remember the fun summers in Woodstock playing volleyball or Wiffleball or winter football and leaving Dziadz’s lawn a mess in the aftermath; yet he never stopped us from enjoying ourselves. Later on, the Bahamian ruffians would bless the backyard with BBs and shredded soda cans; another summer with unexploded paintballs from our orchard battles. Great memories were made climbing the majestic maple tree, playing cops and robbers, or even the Bahamas vs. America fights with the Mizera boys.

As time went on, we recognized it was time to step up and help more where we could, even if we were told over and over that it wasn’t needed. Dziadz always said to be careful and wear gloves and boots as he watched from the kitchen window. I’m grateful so many of his children, grandkids, and friends were able to help along the way, bringing food, supplies, and goodies and spending time in Woodstock. We all know Dziadz wasn’t big on phone calls, but I’d try to offer up relatable topics of gardening or DIY house repairs, in the hopes he might be impressed or at least content knowing he helped instill a good work ethic in his kids and grandkids.

I’ll still remember the sunny days on Cabbage Beach with Dziadz cooling off in the water and floating around, while we took a long walk with Babcia collecting golfballs and seashells; and yes, ice cream on the way home. Love you Dziadz

Condolences to the Skrypczak family from the Davis family. We have been friends of the family for 30 years and I always loved to talk to  Mr. And  Mrs. Skrypczak at family gatherings. George, Donna, and the girls are like a part of our family. Love you all and sorry for your loss.
