

Geraldine Elizabeth Kraft (nee Pott), age 89, was the Loving Daughter of the late Herman Albert Pott & Helmi Elizabeth Pott (nee Nystrom); Loving Sister of Richard B. Pott; Beloved Wife of late George Kraft; Loving Mother of Dan Keith Donovan (Laura McKinley), Cathy Lynn Donovan Klitzka- Brown (James Brown), John James Donovan; Cherished Grandmother of Katherine Elizabeth Donovan, Stephanie Catherine Klitzka, Christine Marie Donovan (Fiance Chris Abbs), Alyssa McKinley, James Forest Donovan, Danielle Roberta Reed (Robert), Jessica Lynn Brown, and Nicolas Wayne Donovan; Special Great Grandmother to her four-legged great grandchildren whom she enjoyed and were her greatest comfort to her in her final days: Buddy (Boo Boo)Sampson Klitzka- Brown, Luna (Lulu) Kai Klitzka; Aunt of Richard H. Pott and Thomas Pott.
Geraldine “Gerry” was born and raised in Chicago IL. She then moved to the suburbs to Buffalo Grove IL. Her and her late husband James W. Donovan lived there with their 3 children for 21 years before they packed up and moved across the country to Hermosa Beach, CA where she lived for 10 years. She finally headed back north to Wisconsin. Years later, she decided the cold winters were not for her and moved to Florida. She finally settled in Deland Florida where she had many friends and met her late husband George Kraft, they enjoyed traveling across the country together. They went on many cruises to Alaska, the Bahamas, Mexico and many other places. Her late husband George was a native Alaskan and they spent a lot of time enjoying Alaska. They also spent time deep sea fishing in Florida and enjoyed many other activities with their friends. She also loved to travel to the Great Smokey Mountains and went to Dollywood many times. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan since she was a young girl. She visited Graceland many times and was even married to her late husband George by an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas.
Geraldine “Gerry” was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars where she participated in community outreach projects to support our veterans.
She loved to sew and make her own clothes as well as make alterations for friends.
After the passing of her husband George, she had some health issues and chose to move back to Wisconsin with her daughter and son-in-law. At the end of her life, Gerry was placed in home hospice care with her daughter Cathy, and son-in-law Jimmy, where they cared for her until she passed peacefully at home.
