Irene S. Karas, 94. Passed away on Sunday August 28, 2011 at Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Born in Chicago on Thursday December 21, 1916. Preceded in death by her parents Ignatius and Florence Karas, her siblings Anthony, Gus, Stanley, Mary Zgliczynski and Estelle; loving aunt of Christine (William) Carsten, Joette Bober and Maryellen LaJeunesse; dear great aunt of William (Melissa), Kevin (Erin) Carsten, Alex and Claire LaJeunesse. Visitation Wednesday August 31, 2011 from 8:30am until time of mass 11:00am at St. Joseph Village 4021 W. Belmont Avenue. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery Niles, Illinois. In Lieu of flowers donations will be used for a nursing scholarship.
