“Jackie” Jacqueline J. Andrews passed away suddenly on September 26th, at the age of 74 years. Born in Chicago, IL August 19th, 1951. Preceded in death by her husband Michael Andrews, her youngest brother George Hora, and granddaughter Isabella. Graduated from Jones Commercial High School in 1969.
Known for her unwavering perseverance in the face of life’s challenges, Jackie was the heart of her family — a devoted wife to her husband for 30 years before he passed, mother, a proud grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and a woman who never forgot a single birthday. Her warm phone calls, timed perfectly year after year, were a testament to her thoughtfulness and deep love for those around her.
Jackie’s strength was matched by her grace. Whether she was offering a comforting word, cheering on her family, or simply showing up with her signature polished nails, she made those around her feel seen and cared for. Her presence was quiet towards the end but a powerful force of love, loyalty, and resilience.
Best remembered for always feeling “fine,” and her spectacular vision.
Lovingly remembered by her son Michael (Myra) Andrews, and Michelle (Scott) Nielsen; and her 5 grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Bradley, George, and Nora.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be October 3rd, 2025 3pm-8pm at Malec and Sons Funeral home 6000 N Milwaukee, Chicago, IL 60646. Mass will be held October 4th, 2025 10am at St Juliana’s Catholic Church 7201 N Oketo, Chicago, IL 60631
