Born in Teocaltiche, Mexico, Jesus carried a deep pride for his hometown and Mexican heritage throughout his life.
A man of great heart and quiet strength, whose greatest joy was being with his family. He cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Luz, his devoted partner of 50 years, as well as his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He especially loved sharing laughter and stories with his sisters, brothers-in-law, always bringing smiles and warmth wherever he went.
His passions were many, from tending his garden and watching soccer, to exploring history and learning about the world. He loved sharing his culture and traditions with others and took pride in keeping those connections alive for future generations.
A devout Catholic, he lived his faith through compassion and service. He was dedicated to helping others, particularly those in need, and believed deeply in the importance of solidarity with the poor. His kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Above all, he was a hardworking, loving father and husband who built a legacy of love, faith, and integrity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy and light he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
Jesus is survived by his beloved wife, Maria de la Luz Ponce (nee Aguilera Enriquez) adoring children: Luis Alberto (Patricia) Ponce and Noemi (Christopher) Roman, and cherished grandchildren: Evan Christopher Roman, Mila Sofia Roman, Luis Eduardo Ponce, and Lucia Marie Ponce.
