Joanne was a beloved wife to the late Paul L. Olesen; loving mother to Nancy (Albin) Ciciora and the late William Olesen; cherished grandmother to David Ciciora (Dr. Alexis Daniels), Dr. Christopher (Stephanie) Ciciora, and Nicole (Sean) Thayer; great-grandmother to Lillian Clara Ciciora and Everett Paul Thayer; dear sister to Barbara (Steven) Burke, Sharon (Jim) Rice, and Janet (Bob) Poorman.
Joanne will be deeply missed, the legacy of her love lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation and funeral will be held at Andrew J McGann & Sons Funeral Home, located at 10727 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60655, on February 23, 2026, Family and friends gathering from 10:00 am until time of a chapel service at 11:00 am. Interment at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Lemont, IL. In lieu of flowers, donation In Memory of Joanne Olesen can be made to Lightways Hospice in Joliet, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
